Letting go of People Pleasing - A Somatic Journey in Reclaiming our Authentic Selves
This experiential and psychoeducational course offers you a warm and supportive space to explore the ways in which you may find yourself stuck inside patterns of people pleasing while neglecting your own needs, boundaries and well-being. Together, we will explore the deep, often unconscious roots of people pleasing as a safety strategy, and learn somatic practices and resources to support you returning to your own body, cultivating inner safety, and living more rooted in your own authenticity.
Upcoming Events & Bookings
15 October 2025 | Wednesday, 7-9.30pm | Online via Zoom
In this 2.5-hour experiential and psycho-educational workshop, we will call on the grounding presence of the Earth to support us in connecting with our bodies and exploring what it feels like to arrive and rest more fully in ourselves.
Together we will explore core somatic resources for grounding β learning how to gently regulate the nervous system, soften patterns of tension and holding, and meet the places that may be caught in old stress or survival responses. This workshop offers you nourishing somatic practices to support you feeling more rooted and resourced in your daily life.
Drawing on depth psychology, somatic psychotherapy, embodied enquiry, movement and breath practices, as well as music and poetry, this space offers you an invitation to:
Learn about the role of the nervous system in stress and trauma, and explore supportive maps that show how your body responds - and how you can gently guide it back towards safety and ease.
Learn foundational somatic skills such as pendulation and titration β ways of moving between ease and challenge to build inner safety.
Deepen your understanding of how stress, anxiety, and trauma live in the body, and how they can soften through gentle awareness.
Develop awareness of your own patterns of holding, tension, and over-activation, noticing how fight, flight, freeze, and fawn may show up in your body.
Practice grounding tools that support the nervous system in settling into more ease, safety, and presence.
Connect with the felt sense of the Earth as a resource for support and stability.
Explore inhabiting the roots of your body β pelvis, legs, and feet β as anchors for feeling grounded within.
Receive a rich variety of somatic resources and guided meditations to carry with you into your everyday life.
This workshop takes place online via Zoom. No prior experience of somatic therapy is needed β only a willingness to slow down, listen inwardly, and gently explore with curiosity and kindness.
* This workshop is open to all genders.
* Booking is essential. Please note - tickets are non-refundable.

Rooting into Rest
23 November 2025 | Sunday, 10am β 2pm
As we journey into winter, these darker months invite us to settle into a slower, more gentle rhythm with ourselves, to turn our attention inwards, to tend to our inner selves and to let ourselves remember the medicine of rest.
Weaving together somatic movement practices, gentle yoga, embodied enquiries, ritual and poetry, we will journey down into the felt sense of our bodies, attuning to the language of instinct and intuition, and exploring rest not just as something that we do, but as an embodied skill- a way of inhabiting our bodies with greater softness and creating space within to listen to the feminine wisdom deep inside our bones.
As nature continues to shed and retreat into the dark before new growth can occur, we will invite the releasing of what no longer serves us- the old patterns, the limiting beliefs, the tensions that keep us from resting deeply. Together, we will root down into the bodyβs ground of support, resting inside the stillness and listening within to the quiet wisdom of those inner seeds that may want to be planted for the months ahead.
We will also tend to our nervous system, learning how to settle into safety so that rest can feel more natural and easeful - while deepening our awareness of what brings true joy and nourishment to our bodies.
It is my hope that this half day retreat will offer you the nourishment of renewed connection with your body and the medicine of gathering together in circle with other women. You will be offered somatic resources and guided meditation recordings to support you in your daily life.
This retreat takes place at 4 Tuckey Street, Cork, a beautiful soul space in the heart of Cork City. Tea and nourishing snacks included.
Booking is essential. Places are limited.

These individual sessions offer you a gentle and supportive space to safely explore the felt sense of your body and to deepen your connection with your own inner wisdom. Weaving together depth psychology, somatic psychotherapy and breath and movement practices, you are invited to slow down and attune to the language deep inside your body- coming to know your bodily sensations, listening to your patterns of holding and tension and the ways in which your body may be stuck in fight/flight/freeze/fawn survival responses as a result of past trauma.
By tending to your body in this way, you will sharpen your instincts and intuition, strengthen your somatic boundaries and come to know what can support and resource these holding patterns. This enhances your capacity to regulate your nervous system which supports you in cultivating a sense of safety within and in being in nourishing relationship with your own self and others.
Learning to inhabit the felt sense of your body is also a doorway into presence, a way for you to access your own aliveness and creativity and to come to know what brings you joy and vitality.

Belonging to Ourselves, Belonging to Community
4 Sept 2024 | Wednesday 7pm - 9.15pm | Cork City
In these gatherings, we come together in a circle of women calling on each otherβs presence to support one another in inhabiting the wisdom of our body and reclaiming our authentic selves.
Drawing on gentle somatic movement practices, embodied enquiry, group sharing, meditation, ritual and mythology, we journey down into the felt sense of our bodies, attuning to the language of instinct and intuition, and listening to the feminine wisdom deep inside our bones.
Within the safety of a held space, together we share our stories and our wisdom, welcoming all parts of ourselves to be seen and heard. We explore our relationship to our selves, our bodies, our needs and our gifts. We reflect on the ways that past experiences and cultural messages may have led us to become exiled from parts of ourselves β how we may have become tamed by tight societal ideals, learnt to appease and self-abandon, silence our own needs, reject our bodies, swallow our anger, deny our power.
In reclaiming these exiled parts of ourselves, we reclaim our wild nature - coming to hear again our own voice, listening to our own cycles of changing rhythms, owning our stories, re-establishing our boundaries, recognising our own power and our own gifts. Together, we slowly weave a sense of belonging back into our bones and come to know again the sweet taste of our own wholeness
It is my hope that these monthly gatherings offer you a safe and heartfelt space to connect with your own wisdom, the nourishment of listening to your body and the medicine of gathering together within a circle of women. You will be offered somatic resources and guided meditation recordings to support and strengthen your process.
These gatherings take place on the first Wednesday of the month at 4 Tuckey Street, Cork, a beautiful soul space in the heart of Cork city. Tea is included.
No prior experience needed. Booking is essential. Please note- tickets are non-refundable.
*Please get in touch if you are in need of a reduced rate.

Blossoming into Being
Saturday 4 May 2024 | 10am β 2pm
Taking place around the time of Bealtaine, the Celtic festival that marks the beginning of summer, this change in season invites us to celebrate the beauty of nature as she blooms into her fullness, to listen inside to what longs to bloom within our own selves, and to welcome the possibilities that can arise with the return of the light.
Drawing on gentle yoga, somatic movement practices, embodied enquiries, ritual and poetry, we will journey down into the felt sense of our bodies, attuning to the language of instinct and intuition, and listening to the feminine wisdom deep inside our bones.
As the natural world transitions into the brighter months of the year, we can feel the warm stirrings of summer as nature slowly unfurls and begins to blossom into fullness. In the spirit of Bealtaine (that translates from old Gaelic to βBright Fireβ), we will turn our attention inwards to shine light on our deepest desires and longings, listening within to how we can support ourselves in our own unfurling and blossoming so that, just like nature, we too can express the light of our own vitality, aliveness and fullness of being.
We will also support the settling of our nervous systems to bring us into a place of restoration and deep rest, as well as deepening our awareness of what brings joy and nourishment to our bodies.
It is my hope that this half day retreat will offer you the nourishment of renewed connection with your body and the medicine of gathering together within a circle of women. You will be offered somatic resources and guided meditation recordings to support you in your daily life.
This retreat takes place at 4 Tuckey Street, Cork, a beautiful soul space in the heart of Cork City. Tea and nourishing snacks are included.

βWhen inward tenderness finds the secret hurt, pain itself will crack the rock and, Ah! Let the Soul emergeβ
β Rumi
2 October - 27 November, 2025 | Thursdays 7pm - 9.30pm | Cork City
This experiential and psychoeducational course offers you a warm and supportive space to explore the ways in which you may find yourself stuck inside patterns of people pleasing while neglecting your own needs, boundaries and well-being. Together, we will explore the deep, often unconscious roots of people pleasing as a safety strategy, and learn somatic practices and resources to support you returning to your own body, cultivating inner safety, and living more rooted in your own authenticity.
People pleasing, also known as the fawn response, is usually learnt early in life - shaped by our family systems, our environments and the cultural messages we receive about what makes us βgoodβ. When love, approval and safety become dependent upon us being βgoodβ, agreeable, self-sacrificing, attuned to others needs over our own, we learn to adapt.
While this way of relating may have helped us to avoid conflict and preserve connection, overtime it can leave us feeling disconnected from our authentic self, struggling to know our own needs and desires, feeling weighed down by the exhaustion of endlessly tending to others while ignoring ourselves.
Deep down, we long to return to who we really are.
Yet, our sense of safety can often feel so entangled with the approval of others. At the heart of this course is the understanding that when we cultivate a deep sense of safety and belonging within our own selves, we create the inner ground that allows us to slowly let go of people-pleasing and open to more authentic ways of relating.
This course weaves together somatic therapy, depth psychology, movement and breath practices, as well as music, poetry and ritual, to support you in turning your attention back towards your own self - inwards and downwards - attuning to the language of your own body. With curiosity and kindness, we will come to understand the wise and protective role of people pleasing, while learning to listen within to the parts of you that you had to turn away from to appease others - often these parts hold our authentic voice, our needs, our desires, our protective anger, our power.
By anchoring your awareness down into the felt sense of your body, you can begin to slowly reclaim theses silenced parts, learning to offer them the medicine of your own attention, listening to their stories of unmet needs, whispering to them words of kindness, until slowly you weave a sense of safety and belonging back into your bones. You come to know again the sound of your authentic voice, honouring your own needs and desires, strengthening your boundaries, trusting again in your own instincts and intuition.
As you breath these parts of yourself back to life, you come to discover that your capacity for empathy, care and attunement to others remains - but now can be expressed without abandoning your own self in the process.
