Rooting into Rest

4 December 2022 | 10am – 2pm

As we journey into winter, these darker months invite us to settle into a slower, gentler rhythm with ourselves, to turn our attention inwards, to tend to our inner selves, to let ourselves rest.

Drawing on somatic movement practices, gentle yoga, embodied enquiries, ritual and poetry, we will journey down into the felt sense of our bodies, attuning to the language of instinct and intuition, and creating space within to listen to the feminine wisdom deep inside our bones.

As nature continues to shed and retreat into the dark before new growth can occur, we too will invite the shedding of old patterns and limiting beliefs that no longer serve us, supporting our bodies to root into rest, while listening inside the stillness of the dark for the inner seeds that may want to be planted for the months ahead.

We will also support the settling of our nervous systems to bring us into a place of restoration and deep rest, as well as deepening our awareness of what brings joy and nourishment to our bodies.

It is my hope that this half day retreat will offer you the nourishment of renewed connection with your body and the medicine of gathering together within a circle of women. You will be offered somatic resources and guided meditation recordings to support you in your daily life.

This retreat takes place at 4 Tuckey Street, Cork, a beautiful soul space in the heart of Cork City. Tea and nourishing snacks included.

“The psyches and souls of women have their own cycles and seasons of doing and solitude, running and staying, being involved and being removed, questing and resting, creating and incubating, being of the world and returning to the soul-place”.
