In this 2.5 hour experiential and psycho-educational workshop, we will call on the element of the Earth to support us in connecting with our bodies, exploring the felt sense of being grounded, while learning somatic resources and practices to support you in grounding into your daily life.

Drawing on depth psychology, somatic psychotherapy practices, embodied enquiry, movement and breath practices, as well as music and poetry, this workshop offers you a warm and safe space to:

  • Deepen your understanding of the nature of stress, anxiety and trauma

  • Develop greater awareness of your patterns of holding and tension and listening within to the the ways in which your body may be stuck in old survival responses of fight/flight/freeze/fawn as a result of stress and past trauma

  • Learn ways to regulate your nervous system and support these stress responses in settling into a place of ease and safety

  • Connect with the felt sense of the Earth whose holding presence offers a somatic resource for grounding within

  • Explore the felt sense of inhabiting the roots of your body (your pelvis, legs and feet) to support the feelings of being grounded within

  • Receive a rich variety of nourishing somatic resources and guided meditations to support you in cultivating safety within and supporting you in feeling grounded in your daily life

This workshop takes place at 4 Tuckey Street, Cork, a beautiful soul space in the heart of Cork City. Tea is included.

"Your body is the ancient clay of the universe from which it was made,
And your feet on the ground are in constant connection with the earth.
Your feet bring your private clay in touch with
the ancient Mother clay from which you first emerged”
